How to Make Homemade Pins!

this was really late but I was too lazy to put the links in hehe

Hey guys! How’re you all doing? I’m doing great! This was one of my new year’s plans and I wanted to get these ideas out there because it’s a super cheap way to create art of your own. So, let’s get to it!

These are some of my homemade pins (flash is a bitch)

What You’ll Need:

Step 1: Design!

If you can draw, draw whatever you like. If you are like me with somewhat of a lower artistic skill, either trace something or be SUPER careful with your designing. Look at a picture online and draw it with your own skilled fingers!!

Step 2: Print!

For me, the printed pins didn’t look good enough for me to do that, but I only tried it once. If you decided to print yours though, scan your design (or if you drew yours on your tablet of some sorts, don’t) you’ll need to print your out. Place the paper into your printer and print those suckers out!

Step 2.5: Trace

If you decided not to print yours out, you’ll need to trace yours onto the shrink paper. This is pretty easy and straightforward. Grab a sharpie and trace those lines away!! With my pins, I use either acrylic paint of sharpies. Just use whatever you desire.

Step 3: Oven time!!

On the packaging for the paper, it gives you instructions for the baking process so I won’t go into too much detail.

Step 4: Mod Podge!

After letting the now shrunken almost pins cool off for about a half an hour or so(it really depends on you), open up the mod podge and squirt some of it on to the pin itself. I used a paintbrush to spread it around if you find that easier. Let that dry for three hours.

(Final) Step 5: Hot glue

This part is super fun! You warm up your hot glue gun. Get those pin backs ready because we’re gluing them down! Take the hot glue gun and place some on the back of the pin. Now, take as many pin backs you want on the pins and squish them into the hot glue. Let them dry for however long you feel.

And that’s it! I hope you wear your pins with pride and happiness. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Support my daily struggles!

Peace out

Is DIY My New Thing?|Life Adventures

So, lately, I’ve been thinking about selling something or having a giveaway for these types of things (that  I want to make). I don’t want to say what it is just yet, but soon. I have ideas that are flowing through my brain and I am feeling it.giphy1

The writing on the blog has been going pretty well on my end, so that’s cool. I want to make what I’m currently writing a longer series of shorter posts, like what is going up now. It keeps me motivated to write more and keeps me entertained while reading them. What do you guys think of it?

Lately, I’ve been watching a lot more anime than I usually do and I’m living for it One that I recommend it Yamada-Kun and the Seven Witches

73700 It’s short, funny, and it has a great plot.

Other than that, I hope you guys have a good day/evening/night! (It’s 11:46pm for me. I began to work on this at like 5)

Peace Out

Why DIY’s Are Hard

I’m a fairly somewhat good of a crafty person. I’m good at somethings, like crocheting and sewing, sculpture. When I was younger, I made dollhouses out of cardboard boxes with my sister, and I still want to do that. It’s a lot of fun, but it takes hard work and time. Sometimes, I want to make things with anything I can find, but I can’t think of anything to make.

DIY is hard to do because I can’t think of anything to craft. I’m probably not the only person in the world who feels like this, but there aren’t that many people out there like this.

Really the only thing I’m good at making is writing and I’m only a third of good I want to be. For me, I like to create things on paper, with paper, or of paper. So, like writing, scrapbooking, and origami.

I don’t even know, anymore.  Odds are I have an overload of creativity but I just don’t know where to put it.
